The Eighth House is on sale with a brand new pretty cover.

Let’s talk about it. The book that started it all, my dirty Hades & Persephone romance, has a beautiful, updated cover.

Let us all forget about the original, tattooed Hades in his historically inaccurate loin cloth. For some reason, ancient Greek-themed Romance novel cover model photos are almost impossible to find, so back in 2017, I did my best and went with the perfect pose over my choice of clothing.

My digital painting skills have grown in the last four years, and I finally, finally, am able to give you a far more accurate-to-the book Lord of the Dead. He’s even got a proper chiton now, for feck’s sake! Persephone’s now sporting some glowing, growing vines, and all the butterflies of spring have followed her into the Underworld. Plus the whole cover has had a color and lighting overhaul so it can now be a better match for its buddy, which I’ll get to in a second. 😀

US Store?! What about the rest of us?

Weellll … good ol’ Amazon only lets us authors run sales and free days in the US and UK stores so far. If they add more regional options in the future, I’ll be including those, too.

Well? And? What about the UK Store? Where’s our sale?

The TL;DR version is: more Amazon fnckery. The soonest they would let me put The Eighth House on sale was … August 9th? Whyyy? Because boring reasons, and you don’t care. Bottom line, I wasn’t able to make the two sales coincide. Pfeh!

And then …

The Mortal Coil … is complete.

I started writing it in 2018. Started planning in 2014.

And on Monday, July 5, at 9 AM, I wrote the final lines. I had been awake for 24 hours at that point, because I flat out refused to go to sleep until this book was done. Fuuuuuuuu … I regret nothing.

And now? It is in the hands of a very talented (and highly intimidating, if I may be quite frank) editor. While I wait to get the edits back, I’m going balls-out (doubly difficult, if you don’t actually have this equipment) to get all the nine zillion things done that happen on the back end before I can publish.

BUT, because I have sworn a very concerning oath to some very exacting gods to have print copies of The Mortal Coil available to sign at my table at Delightfully Dirty in Dallas next month, the minute those edits appear in my inbox, it’s going to be a blazing 48 hours or so of solid correction, formatting, and publishing.
