Mine, All Mine
Some mistakes are too good not to make.
Taylor Sharpe has a Bio-Sciences Masters to work on so she makes no time for drama. Not from her flaky parents and not from unreliable friends. If people aren’t going to be dependable, she finds a way to shuffle them out of her life.
Boyfriends? Eh. They come and go. Mostly go, and usually after they realize she’d never be the super-girly girl they hoped for. Being one of the boys has its advantages, but always making the first move gets old after a while. Plus, it backfires more often than not.
Which is probably why she can’t erase the stupid, spontaneous, earth-shaking kiss she planted on her best friend Ian Killbourne at a New Year’s Eve party her freshman year. Right before his girlfriend walked up. Alcohol and instant regret go hand-in-hand, it turns out.
Four years later, though, and the fire from that same kiss is still keeping a whole repressed fantasy world simmering away in her head. It’s only a matter of time until it boils over again and Taylor acts on another one of her ridiculous urges. Whether her friendship with Ian survives the burn is another story.
Mine, All Mine treks through the rocky territory of the Friendzone with not much more than Adderly’s signature crude humor and the real, raw thrashings of unrequited lust as a guide.
